Let's describe the whole world!
I'd say this is a pretty cool idea. The idea is describe any area you can find on Google Maps, mark the boundaries and write something about it. So far, pretty useful for me here in Jeddah when looking for a specific place. Thing is, here in Jeddah you might be looking for Palestine street but locals refer to it as Falesteen street, making it all that much harder to find. Sure, the name in Arabic on signs is easy to spot - provided you read Arabic. Which I don't. Yet. So this wikimapia thing is ideal for preparation when heading out on unexplored territory.
